This privacy policy explains how Fida ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information. We believe in complete transparency about our data practices.
The Short Version
We do not collect, store, or have access to any of your personal data. All information you enter in the app is stored either:
- Locally on your device, or
- In your private iCloud account (if you choose to enable iCloud sync)
We cannot see, access, or retrieve any of your financial data, contacts, or personal information.
Information Storage
Where Your Data Lives
- Local Storage: If you use the app without iCloud, all data remains exclusively on your device
- iCloud Storage: If you enable iCloud sync, your data is stored in your private iCloud database using Apple's CloudKit technology
- Developer Access: We have zero access to your private iCloud data or local storage
What Information the App Stores
The app may store the following information based on your usage:
- Financial transactions (amounts, dates, descriptions, tags)
- Contact information you choose to add (names and phone numbers from your contacts)
- Your first name (if you choose to provide it for personalization)
- Transaction splits and settlements with other people
Important: All this information is stored in your private storage only. We never receive or have access to any of it.
Permissions We Request
Contacts Access
- Why we ask: To help you split transactions with people from your contacts
- What we access: First name, last name, and phone numbers of contacts you select
- Where it's stored: In your private local storage or iCloud account only
- Your control: You can deny this permission and still use the app
iCloud Access
- Why we ask: To sync your data across your Apple devices
- What happens: Your data syncs between your devices using your private iCloud account
- Your control: You can disable iCloud sync at any time in the app settings
Data Security
Your data security is ensured through:
- Apple's Security: Local data is protected by iOS/macOS security features
- iCloud Encryption: Data synced to iCloud is encrypted by Apple
- No Server Access: We don't operate any servers that store your data
- No Third Parties: We don't use any analytics, advertising, or third-party services
Your Rights and Control
You have complete control over your data:
- View Your Data: See all stored information directly in the app
- Delete Your Data: Remove any or all data at any time through the app
- Disable Sync: Turn off iCloud sync to keep data only on your device
- Deny Permissions: Refuse access to contacts without losing core functionality
- Complete Deletion: Delete the app to remove all local data
Children's Privacy
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. The app stores data only in the user's private storage, and we have no access to verify users' ages.
Third-Party Services
The app uses no third-party services. The only external service is Apple's iCloud (if you choose to enable it), which is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Data Sharing
We never share your data because:
- We don't have access to it
- We don't collect it
- We don't store it on our servers
- We don't use analytics or advertising

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
